VSphere 5.1 vCenter Console Slowdown

I have successfully upgraded a VSphere environment to 5.1 and everything seems to be working perfectly besides the fact that the console now takes upwards of 15 seconds before it comes into view from black. This is in contrast to the previous vCenter 5.0 server that I had configured with half the memory which took less than a few seconds to come into view from black.
It appears I am not the only one with the issue.

You’re not alone on this and update 1 doesnt correct the issue either.
I had the same issue as well, this website (http://my-virt.alfadir.net/2012/11/15sec-delay-to-display-vmware-remote-console-when-client-is-not-connected-to-internet/) got if down from 32 seconds every time I wanted to use the console to about 6-7 seconds. Still slower than before, but much better than having to wait 30+ seconds.
